Father Fernando Suarez may no longer be in Europe but in the hearts of Pinoys, especially those who came from Belgium, he will always be remembered.

For them, it was surely an experience when they all headed to Germany to meet the priest in his healing mass.

Francis Aquino, parish member of the Saint Joseph Community in Brussels said he felt an unexplained miracle when he was touched by Suarez.

"When I came here, I have been experiencing pain in my lower back. The pain was excruciating. When it was my turn, Father Suarez asked me what’s wrong with me. I told him it’s my lower back and feet.

"When Father touched me, I felt my body floating. I know there’s something going on, something miraculous, that he’s working in me", he said

Idaylinda Tejero of the Filipino chaplaincy for her part said she was ill for weeks then was cured with just a sight of the priest.

"I have been sick for 2 weeks. I experienced pain in my back and my legs were swollen. But now, with God’s mercy, I am healed", she said.

The healing mass may have lasted for more than 7 hours, but for all Filipinos who witnessed sick people being healed, every second was worth the wait.

Ning Gooris of Legion of Mary was suffering from terrible arthritis and had a hard time walking. She said she had to cancel her visit to the Philippines in June due to her ailment.

But her arthritis didn’t stop her from going to Germany and enduring three hours of travel.

"I always believe that through Fr. Suarez, an instrument used by God to cure sick people, I shall also be healed. And for this reason, I know that I have a mission to fulfill — to spread the good news of the Lord and to be a living witness of God’s love and power", she said.
