A Filipina, who got a standing ovation when she reached the semi-finals of United Kingdom’s popular talent show, is coming home this week—courtesy of boxing champ Manny “Pacman“ Pacquiao.

Madonna “Mado“ Decena is scheduled to arrive Thursday morning.

“Sa 17 ang dating niya, sa Huwebes, 8:45 ng umaga,“ Decena’s father Reynaldo told abs-cbnNEWS.com in a phone interview.

In an email sent to abs-cbnNEWS.com, Madonna expressed her gratitude to the Filipino boxing champion for paving the way for her to see her two children again.

“I thank Manny Pacquiao for this opportunity to go back to the Philippines, work and be with my kids,“ Madonna said.

She also thanked ABS-CBN Europe News Bureau chief Danny Buenafe for introducing her to Pacquiao when the boxer was promoting his fight with Ricky Hatton in the UK.

“Bale I met them here sa UK when they did the presscon for his Hatton fight and it was Danny Buenafe who introduced me to Manny. I was able to give my demo CD to Mike Koncz, his adviser, and Manny himself,“ she said.

Pacquiao offered to help Madonna return to the country, find work, and still be with her kids whom she has not seen for more than two years.

“Sa isang OFW na katulad ko bihira ang magkaroon ng ganitong opportunity. Mas madalas, ilang taon ang ipamamalagi namin sa ibang bansa, hiwalay sa mga anak at pamilya,“ she said.

Meanwhile, Mr. Decena could not give a definite answer if his daughter would be staying in the country for good.

“Wait and see. Although tinitingnan niya kung may offer. Natapos na kasi ang two-year working visa niya doon,“ he revealed.

He said Madonna’s children aged 7 and 8 are both excited about their mother’s homecoming.

“Gumagawa na nga ng parang banner,“ he said. “Happy ako para sa kanila. Miss na miss na niya iyong dalawa,“ he added.

Madonna was last year’s semi-finalist in UK’s “Britain’s Got Talent“. She captivated the judges and wowed the audience on her first audition when she sang Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You“ which she dedicated to her daughters - for their future, she said.
