Halloween contest in Dubai to help distressed OFWs, storm victims
DUBAI - A different kind of Halloween experience awaits guests and participants at the “Gabi ng Lagim '09” in the desert of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
All overseas Filipino workers based in Dubai are encouraged to participate in the event by dressing up in their scariest costumes for the Halloween drama which will start from 8 p.m. till dawn on the 29th of October 2009.
The Halloween event is sponsored by the Filipino Off-Road Auto Club or FORAC.
FORAC said the meeting place is scheduled at 7 p.m. at the Zabeel Park, Gate No. 3 opposite Choitram, Karama.
FORAC added the event hopes to raise funds for distressed OFWs and for families affected by the typhoons that hit the Philippines recently.
Prizes in the event include a two-way ticket from Dubai to Manila, a laptop computer, a video camera and other consolation items. With Balitang Middle East
