CAGAYAN DE ORO – A Filipino community leader based in Ireland has appealed to the kidnappers holding Fr. Michael Sinnott to free the Irish priest.
ABS-CBN’s PJ Dela Pena was able to interview Kaliwat Iliganon Association President Gil Caballero through Skype.
Caballero urged Sinnot’s captors to free the Irish priest due to his health condition.
Unidentified gunmen abducted Sinnott, of the Missionary Society of St. Columban, in Pagadian City last October 11.
The Pagadian City government offered a P200,000 cash reward to anyone who could give information leading to the whereabouts of the Irish priest.
Agence France Presse earlier reported that no group has claimed responsibility for Sinnott’s abduction.
