Charity bazaar for RP storm victims held in Iran

MANILA – More than a hundred people supported a charity bazaar held in Iran to help Pinoy victims recover from the devastation wrought by several typhoons in the Philippines.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said the Pinay Irano Family Community (PIFC), one of the two Filipino associations in Iran, organized the charity bazaar at the Philippine Embassy grounds on November 13.

Filipinos and their Iranian friends from Tehran, Karaj and Qazvin supported the PIFC initiative.

Items such as ladies accessories, home decors, garments and food were sold in the bazaar participated by members of the Filipino community and some Iranian companies. Gulf Air, which also participated in the event, promoted its special offer trips from Tehran to Manila.

Proceeds of the gate entrance and earnings in the bingo games and karaoke sessions in the bazaar were donated for the typhoon victims.
 
The Saint Abraham Carollers also donated cash while PIFC and other members of the Filipino community in Iran gave medicines for typhoon victims.
