LOS ANGELES, CA—a successful show at L.A.’s Rock Fashion Week was one of Kim Muñoz’s biggest dreams.  Her “Be Sexy” collection for lingerie maker Biatta Intimates was applauded by L.A.’s fashion community.

"It was definitely a surreal moment. It was great,” said a thrilled Muñoz backstage after her successful runway show.

Muñoz heads the design department of Biatta Intimates, which sells in major U.S. stores. She aspires to be as successful as her idol, famous Filipina designer Josie Natori. Biatta, which also manufactures lingerie for Victoria’s Secret and Saks, is known for its fashionable yet affordable line.

Two Filipinas, May Ulandez and Kat Jacob, are part of Muñoz’s design team.  They also modeled Biatta creations on the runway.

Muñoz is glad that many Filipinos are now getting the attention of the mainstream fashion world.

“We're the ones sewing till like 3 o'clock in the morning, getting everything ready, so definitely it's our time,” Muñoz said.

Many who attended were impressed by the Biatta fashion show.

“It was really good and it's pretty sexy, which is what lingerie is supposed to be,” said Maksim Chmerkovskiy of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars.

Next on Muñoz’s agenda is a stylish intimate apparel line for plus-sized women.
