[11]MANILA, Philippines -- A man was killed while his wife was injured after the motorcycle they were riding slipped along M. Eusebio Street in Pasig City Friday morning.
Police identified the victims as Florencio Pobre, Facilities Management Division Chief of Traffic and Parking Management Office in Pasig, and his wife Beth.
Witness Dondon Minion said he was collecting sand from his truck when he suddenly heard a crashing sound.
He then saw the two victims off their motorcycle.
The two were rushed to the Pasig City General Hospital, but Florencio was pronounced dead on arrival. His wife is still undergoing treatment.
Authorities are still investigating whether the incident was a case of hit-and-run or a self-accident since the road was slippery. -- Reports from Zandro Ochona, dzMM; Bettina Magsaysay, ABS-CBN News
