LOS ANGELES -- It may have been raining outside, but Team Pacquiao said  Manny Pacquiao is regaining his old fire as he trains for his December 8 fight against Juan Manuel Marquez.

“Focus lang. Focus at training at yun iisipin palagi yung fight,” said the 33-year-old Filipino boxing star.

The Pacman sparred 9 hard-hitting rounds against three partners, including a pair of new fighters.

“Lahat different styles at maraming ako natutunang strategies na dapat gawin. Pati ang aggressiveness unting unting bababalik and masaya naman si Freddie Roach,” said Pacquiao.

Roach said he's happy with Pacquiao's progress throughout this camp in which they skipped their usual four-week session in Baguio and went straight to Los Angeles.

“The killer instinct's back, he's trying to knock these guys out, he's showing combinations, looking sharp. I'm happy with his progress,” said Roach.

With the rain, the Pacman has had to change his morning jogging routines, but he ended the day with some light Plyometric training.

With Pacman looking for new methods of beating his familiar foe, he may be working on different techniques with as many as five different sparring partners.
