MANILA, Philippines – Despite having never admitted to being in an official relationship, Enchong Dee and Julia Montes have reportedly broken up, according to an entertainment news website.

The two Kapamilya stars decided to "split up" in mid-October, entertainment news website PEP reported Saturday, citing a source.

Following their split, Dee and Montes' common friends made efforts "to make them sit and talk," the source was quoted as saying. "After that, maayos naman sila."

Having worked together in the Star Cinema film "The Reunion," and "The Strangers", a film entry to the 38th Metro Manila Film Festival, Dee and Montes have been romantically linked in recent months.

While the two have been open about their mutual admiration, neither has confirmed that they are officially together.

For his part, Dee, 24, has been vocal of his willingness to "wait" until Montes, 17, turns a year older, when he can formally start courting her.
