MANILA, Philippines – Now with "lives of their own," Iwa Moto only wishes happiness for Kapamilya star Jodi Sta. Maria, the estranged wife of her current boyfriend, Pampi Lacson.
"She does [deserve to be happy]. I'm really happy for them. Good luck, God bless," Moto told ABS-CBN News at the sidelines of a press conference held Friday launching her as the endorser of a new sexual enhancement and medical supplement brand.
Sta. Maria is now rumored to be in a relationship with actor Jolo Revilla.
"Totoo po 'yon. It may not seem like it, pero may kanya-kanya na kaming buhay," Moto added. "Ang sa 'kin nalang, maging masaya tayong lahat. At masaya ako para sa kanya, and I hope she's happy for me."
Last June, Moto said in a television interview that Sta. Maria had an affair with her former boyfriend, Mike Ablan, two years ago while she was still married to Lacson.
Moto said she met Lacson to confront him about Sta. Maria’s alleged affair, until they eventually became a couple.
"Kaya ako nagsalita before, is because napagkamalaman nga ako na rason kung bakit naghiwalay silang mag-asawa, so I just cleared my name," Moto said on Friday.
"Hindi ko intensyon na manira ng tao, and wala rin naman akong mapapala kung sisiraan ko siya... Marami mang nagalit sakin for being so honest, at least ako nasabi ko 'yung totoo," she added.
Thirdy's other 'mommy'
Over six months since she and Lacson became a couple, Moto said her boyfriend continues to be supportive of her career choices.
"We're okay, we're very okay. He's always there to support me. He believes in me," said the sexy actress, who had shared in an earlier interview that she has grown closer to Lacson's family.
In the same interview, Moto said Lacson's son with Sta. Maria, Thirdy, has even started to call her "mommy." But Moto maintained, she is not setting out to "steal" the boy's affection from Sta. Maria.
"I'm not here to steal, or to be Thirdy's mom. I'm just here to give extra love. Kasi wala naman akong ibang magagawa kung ‘di mahalin 'yung bata, kasi walang kasalanan sa 'kin 'yung bata," Moto said.
