MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN has partnered with civic organization REACT Philippines for the 2013 elections.
The partnership was signed in a simple ceremony attended by officials of ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs, and REACT Philippines on Monday at the ABS-CBN compound.
REACT Philippines, which stands for Regional Emergency Assistance Communication Team, has around 3,000 to 4,000 members from Luzon to Jolo.
Members respond to emergencies and calamities by relaying real-time information to concerned agencies.
With the partnership, REACT Philippines pledges to support ABS-CBN’s campaign, Boto Mo, I-Patrol Mo: Tayo Na! The campaign empowers Filipinos to stand up, protect each other and move forward as a nation.
Richard Valdes, national chairman for Government Agencies and Media Affairs expressed gratitude for the new opportunity to work with the Kapamilya network.
“Maraming salamat at yung tiwala niyo sa amin tuloy-tuloy. We hope that we will be able to give you more information, situational reports in the future,” he said.
Reyes said she is optimistic that the partnership will go beyond just election coverage.
