MANILA, Philippines -- Sexy actress Cristine Reyes has thrown her hat in the ring as the competition among Kapamilya actresses on who will be the next superhero Darna intensifies.
Reyes said she's willing to take the role of the Mars Ravelo flying heroine if given a chance.
"Well kung ako nga ang susunod ay pagtatrabahuan ko 'yan ng maayos," Reyes told reporters in an interview.
But for now, Reyes stressed that there's no offer for her to don the sexy Darna costume. "Haka-haka lang din po," she said.
According to talk in showbiz circles, there are plans to bring Darna back in the small screen and actress Angel Locsin , who played the superhero years ago, has said she is ready to take on the role again.
Meanwhile, Reyes again denied speculations that she and boyfriend Rayver Cruz have finally ended their relationship.
"Okay pa din kami. Mga haka-haka lang ng ibang tao yon," Reyes said.
Just like Cruz, the actress said she's also clueless on where these breakup rumors are coming from as she played down the persistent reports.
"Okay lang 'yon at least napag-uusapan pero ang masasabi ko lang okay kami ni Rayver. To be honest kasama ko siya kanina at nasa house ko siya kanina," she said.
"Siguro ganoon lang ka-interesado ang mga tao na konting tampuhan lang namin ay big deal sa kanila. Ako lahat naman ng galaw ko ay napapansin so well at least okay na din yon na napapansin ako kesa sa deadma ang tao sa akin," she said.
Reyes said she's blessed to have Cruz as a boyfriend.
"Si Rayver, good boy naman. So very blessed ako to have him kasi bihira yung ganoong klaseng lalaki hindi lang sa showbiz, in general talaga. Bihira 'yung ganoon," she said.
Flattered by senator
Reyes, who is considered to have one of prettiest faces in local showbiz, said she's flattered that senatorial aspirant Koko Pimentel has crush on her.
"I'm flattered na aminado siya na humahanga sa akin pero ewan ko," she said.
Asked if she thinks Pimentel is just using her to boost his popularity among voters, Reyes said: "Ayaw kong magsalita. Wala akong boses dahil sa 'ASAP' Christmas party."
