MANILA - Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Lucenito Tagle confirmed that party-list applicant Ang Minero has been accredited to run in the 2013 party-list elections.
In a phone call, Tagle confirmed to ABS-CBN News that the en banc voted to include Ang Minero today after it submitted a list of nominees that were acceptable to the commission.
Previously, the Comelec 1st division denied the party-list application of Ang Minero.
The approval brings to 84 the total number of party-list groups accredited to participate in the mid-term election.
Earlier, the poll body laid out its rules for the raffle of slots for party-list groups in the ballot for the elections.
The raffle is set for January 4, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at the Comelec Manila office.
