[11]MANILA, Philippines -- Like most couples on New Year's Eve, Heart Evangelista and boyfriend Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero welcomed 2013 together.

In a post on micro-blogging site Twitter, the former Kapamilya actress on Tuesday shared a photo of her with the 43-year-old lawmaker. "Had a wonderful day. Happy new year," its caption said.
Despite being seen together in public since Escudero confirmed their relationship in October, both the 27-year-old actress and the senator have largely kept mum on their relationship.
In November, Evangelista opened up for the first time on her relationship with Escudero, fresh from their three-day stay in Hong Kong.
"Mabait [si Chiz], sobrang bait niya. Seryoso siyang tao. Napaka-down to earth niya, napaka-sincere niya sa lahat ng tao and funny siya, very funny," Evangelista said at the time of Escudero, whose seven-year marriage with his former wife has been annulled.
"Maalaga talaga kasi siya eh…dahil I think he's older, tapos ako younger, kasi I'm very sheltered kumbaga. He lets me enjoy what I want to do," she added.
