MANILA – Former Gapan City Mayor Ernesto Natividad spent the night in a detention cell on Thursday after he was arrested inside a hospital along Maginoo St. in Teacher's Village, Quezon City.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Senior Supt. Richard Albano said Natividad’s request to return to the hospital was denied by authorities.
He is detained at the QCPD’s Criminal Detection Unit.
The former mayor will be presented to Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 8 Judge Felixberto Olalia Friday morning.
Natividad is wanted for a multiple murder case in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija in 2006.
