MANILA - A third complainant has come forward vs Pagadian City Mayor Samuel Co in connection with the alleged multi-billion peso Aman Futures pyramiding scam.
Alias "Mike" charged Co with syndicated estafa with the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday, alleging that he and 3 others invested over P100 million in the Ponzi scheme.
"Mike" claimed the payments were handed over to Co.
"May bridge kami, common friends, tapos pinakilala kami sa kanya... our money [was] given to him," he said.
His group allegedly handed Co the money between the last week of August and first week of October last year.
"At some point, he [gave advice] to wait. Noong nag-boom na siya, wala na siya binabalik sa amin. We were also able to meet in Manila during when the problem erupted," "Mike" said.
Co had previously denied the allegations against him, claiming he was also a victim of the double-your-money scheme.
