MANILA, Philippines – The Boston Celtics needed three overtimes to pull off a 118-114 victory against the visiting Denver Nuggets and win their seventh game in a row.

Paul Pierce had a monster triple-double with 27 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists, while Kevin Garnett contributed 20 points and 18 rebounds.

Jason Terry fired 26 points off the bench for Boston, who ended the Nuggets' nine-game winning streak.

The Celtics have won seven straight contests since All-Star point guard Rajon Rondo went down with a season-ending ACL injury.

"This was a great game to be a part of. It was a great win against a quality ball club, not to say the other teams weren't quality teams we played, but you know, this is they type of win that can give us confidence to move forward," Pierce said.

Ty Lawson led Denver with 29 points and nine assists.

The Celtics improved to 27-23 this season. -- Report from ANC.
