Pinky Amador gets 'hate tweets' for villain role [1]

MANILA, Philippines - Award-winning stage, film and television actress Pinky Amador is now considered "the most hated villain" in the country -- at least for fans of the series "Be Careful With My Heart."

In the hit teleserye, Amador plays Zenaida Belmonte, the strict professor of the lead character Maya, played by actress Jodi Sta. Maria.

Amador joined the series last week and has been receiving a lot of hate messages from Sta. Maria's fans.

In her official Twitter account, Amador said she's just doing her job.

"Awww, acting lang po! LOL," Amador told one of her followers, who's obviously an avid supporter of Sta. Maria's character on the show.

"Bawal ang BV (bad vibes)! Trabaho lang :)," she added.

But Amador also received praise for her acting in the series.

Aside from taping for "Be Careful With My Heart," Amador is also busy rehearsing for her newest stage play "Piaf," where she will be playing the legendary singer Edith Piaf.

The play, staged by Atlantic Productions, opens next month.
