Maynilad service improvement project in Manila

Maynilad Water is upgrading its pipe network in Manila as part of its continuo effort to improve service, resulting in a temporary water supply interruption in some areas starting from 11 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2008, until 7 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2008.

The service improvement projrct involves the replacement of a defective 750-mm gate valve along Santol St. near corner Ramon Magsaysay Blvd., Sampaloc, Manila.

This will result in water service interruption in the following areas:

Manila: Whole of Bacood; area bounded by Altura Extension, Pasig river, San Juan River and R. Magsaysay Blvd.; area bounded by Batanes St., R. Magsaysay Blvd., Antipolo St., Segio H. Loyola St., Blumentritt, Sto. Tomas an Josefina St.

Quezon City: Whole of Brgy. Doña Imelda, Brgy. Sto. Niño, Brgy. Isidro, and Brgy. Santol.

Areas to have low pressure to no water are portions of Brgy. Don Manuel Bounded by Cordillera, Bayani, Jacinto and E. Rodriguez Ave., Quezon City.

Maynilad is advising residents in these areas to store water good for the duration of the water service interruption. They may also call Maynilad Water Hotline 1626.
