With an overwhelming show of support from various sectors and organizations, ABS-CBN Cebu brought the Kapamilya Relief Campaign straight to the island of Bantayan, where the biggest concentration of families severely affected by typhoon Frank in the province were found.
Launching broadcast plugs for both radio and TV, ABS-CBN Cebu and its several drop-off points around the city received numerous relief goods.
Various organizations including groups from the academe came for a week-long repacking of the goods.
With the aid of the Philippine Army, the first batch of relief goods were delivered to Bantayan.
The goods were distributed in Bantayan Multi-Purpose Center with Bantayan Mayor Geralyn Escario.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development Region 7 also offered aid for the victims after the Kapamilya relief distribution.
The second batch of relief goods were brought to the town of Madridejos in Bantayan Island barely five days after the first relief campaign.
1,363 families who were affected and have lost their homes were each given a bag filled with groceries and a sack of used clothing. More than a million pesos worth of goods were given.
After this second relief distribution, another batch will be delivered this week to almost 2,000 families in the town of Sta. Fe.
The Kapamilya Relief Campaign is also a continuing and complementary project to KBP-Cebu's series of relief campaign efforts.
