With his ailing heart, six-year old AJ Caraig could only cry as he seeks help for much needed treatment. An outstanding student in his class, AJ needs our help to continue his studies and restore his health.

It was not coincidence but an answered prayer, says Wenilda Caraig, when she met Bantay Bata 163 medical social workers at a hospital lobby while waiting for the medical result of her son AJ.

This encounter paved the way for their plea for help to be heard.

A diligent student, six-year old AJ does not want to miss any lesson in school. But on some days, he needs to go through tests for his weak heart.

And this early, he already knows how his parents and 5 other siblings are sacrificing for him to be able to go to Manila from Batangas City.

"Proud na proud po ako sa kanya  kasi po kahit na sya’y may sakit sa puso, ganun po sya kasipag mag-aral(I'm very proud of him because he is a diligent student even though he's sick)", mom Wenilda narrated to Bantay Bata.

AJ needs a closure of his Patent Ductus Arteriosus or PDA ligation to correct blood flow and minimize other heart risks.

"Gusto ko sana pong gumaling (I want to get well soon)", Aj told Bantay Bata.
