Fast facts about the Truth Commission

- Created through Executive Order No. 1 issued by President Aquino on July 30, 2010

- Headed by former Chief Justice Hilario Davide

- Other members are former Supreme Court justices Flerida Ruth P. Romero and Romeo J. Callejo, Sr., and law professors Carlos P. Medina, Jr. and Menardo I. Guevarra

- Tasked to investigate reports of graft and corruption during the Arroyo administration

- Also tasked to submit its findings and recommendations to the President, Congress, and the Ombudsman

- Has no power to file charges against the accused

- Hearings of the Truth Commission will be open the public
