Analyst: Donaire to have a real man's fight vs Arce
MANILA, Philippines – Expect world champion Nonito Donaire Jr. to have a “real man’s fight” when he shares the ring with Mexican superstar Jorge Arce on December 15, according to veteran ring analyst Ronnie Nathanielsz.
In an interview on dzMM’s “Sports Talk”, Nathanielsz said Arce isn’t likely to back down against a more polished boxer like Donaire.
“Arce is a warrior... when he gets inside the ring iba talaga ‘yan, tunay na lalaki 'yan eh,” said the boxing analyst.
Arce, a former two-division world champion, is known for his no holds barred, all-or-nothing fighting style.
His brawling ways helped him compile a total of 61 wins against 6 losses.
But Nathanielsz said that Donaire, the reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) super bantamweight king, is a more complete fighter.
He said the “Filipino Flash” is likely to pick Arce apart.
“Nonito is gonna take care of him,” said Nathanielsz.
The Donaire-Arce title fight will take place a week after the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez bout.
It is slated to take place at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
