Mexico's Terrazas wants Donaire, too
MANILA – Seems like everyone wants a piece of the “Filipino Flash."
WBC silver super bantamweight champion Victor Terrazas has joined the list of boxers who want to fight four-division champion Nonito Donaire, Jr.
Terrazas, who is due for a WBC title clash against fellow Christian Mijares, said he is hoping for a title shot against Donaire after he’s done with Mijares.
Terrazas assured an explosive fight if he gets Donaire.
"I know that Nonito Donaire is a strong and fast fighter but I hope that I be given the opportunity and I assure you it would be a great fight," the Mexican boxer said in Boxing Scene.
Donaire has an April bout against Cuba’s Guillermo Rigondeaux.
If he succeeds, he’ll climb the featherweight division, where Juan Manuel Mares and Abner Mares and other fighters are waiting for him.
