MANILA – The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, No Gi International Open will kick off at the SM Southmall in Las Pinas City on Saturday.

Among the participating nations are Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines, all of which are affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC).

Leading the Filipinos are world ranked fighter Michael Mejia, Neil Ferreira, Ivy Alcala, Pablo Antonio Rafael and Carlos Herminio, and Simeon Buenaventura.

“It will be a tough tournament because I see several foreign fighters who can win here,” said Mejia, who nabbed silver and bronze medals in the last year's 2012 ADCC Asia-Pacific Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
