Iverson powers Pistons past Nets

AUBURN HILLS - Allen Iverson scored 19 points and the Detroit Pistons stretched their National Basketball Association win streak to five games Wednesday with a 83-75 victory over the New Jersey Nets.

Tayshaun Prince added 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Detroit, which lost Rasheed Wallace to a sore right foot in the second quarter.

The Pistons, second to Cleveland in the Central division, improved to 19-11 while the Nets, second to Boston in the Atlantic division, fell to 15-17.

Brook Lopez scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Nets while Devin Harris added 19 points and China's Yi Jianlian scored 12 points in a losing cause.

The Nets lost star guard Vince Carter at 6:48 of the second quarter after he received two technical fouls. Carter finished with only four points in just over 14 minutes on the court.
