Toyota seeks win over Magnolia on Thursday
Toyota Otis is set to clash with Magnolia Purewater as it tries to arrest a three-game losing skid Thursday in the 2009 PBL PG Flex Linoleum Cup at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The Sparks are hoping to keep their quarterfinals bid alive when they face the Wizards at 4 p.m.
With a 3-6 win-loss slate, Toyota can not afford to drop another game if they want to make it into the top four of the tournament.
Magnolia is already assured of a semis slot no matter because of their better quotient over Hapee and Bacchus – the only teams capable of tying their record at the end of the eliminations.
The Wizards tote a 7-3 record in second place while Hapee and Bacchus are tied for third to fourth places at 5-5.
Six-peat seeking Harbour Centre clinched the No. 1 spot in the Final Four following their comprehensive 93-82 win over Burger King two days back.
Hapee Toothpaste, meanwhile, hopes to cement its quarterfinal bid also on Thursday.
The Complete Protectors will battle Burger King at 2 p.m.
In the first round, the Complete Protectors bewildered the Stunners with their brilliant transition plays to coast to a trouble-free 91-76 victory.
