MANILA, Philippines -- Shortly after turning his back on a Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight, Filipino world champion Manny Pacquiao also reportedly said no to the proposal to pit him against light middleweight champion Yuri Foreman.

According to LATimes.com, World Boxing Organization welterweight king Pacquiao might opt to face other welterweight and junior welterweight contenders.

"Manny's concerned about Foreman's height. We'll go through the entire [welterweight and junior welterweight] categories and see what we can come up with," Pacquiao's business manager Michael Koncz told LATimes.com.

The undefeated Israeli fighter stands at 5-foot-11, or 5-1/2 inches taller than the “diminutive” Pacquiao.

Facing Foreman could have been Pacquiao’s chance to win an 8th world title in 8 weight classes. This, however, would force him to jump to 154 pounds from 147.

It will reportedly make it difficult for Pacquiao to go down to 147 again assuming a multi-million-dollar megafight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. materializes.

Talks for a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight collapsed when the American boxer insisted on Olympic-style drug testing.

In response, Foreman said it is an “honor” for him to be turned down by Pacquiao.

"It's a real honor the greatest pound-for-pound fighter in the world doesn't want to fight me," Foreman said. "Aside from winning the world title, this is the greatest compliment I've gotten in boxing."

Meanwhile, Mayweather launched a verbal jab at Pacquiao after talks to revive their planned mega-fight collapsed. 

"Throughout this whole process, I have remained patient, but at this point I am thoroughly disgusted that Pacquiao and his representatives are trying to blame me for the fight not happening when clearly the blame is on them," Mayweather said in a statement.

"First and foremost, not only do I want to fight Manny Pacquiao, I want to whip his punk ass."

"Before the mediation, my team proposed a 14-day, no blood testing window leading up to the fight. But it was rejected," said Mayweather.

"I am still proposing the 14-day window but he is still unwilling to agree to it, even though this is obviously a fair compromise on my part as I wanted the testing to be up until the fight and he wanted a 30-day cut-off.

"The truth is he just doesn't want to take the tests.”

Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who represented Pacquiao in tthe mediation provess with the Mayweather camp, slammed the 14-day window proposal.

“After the horses leave the barn and they rejected Manny’s 24 days offer, he now comes up with the 14 days which is totally unacceptable,” Arum told InsideSports.ph.

Pacquiao, for his part, said it's time to move on.

"Walang problema sa akin kahit hindi natuloy ang fight," he said, adding that Mayweather's decision to "back out" from the fight shows the American is jsut scared to face him.

"At least may respeto siya sa kakayahan ko sa boxing," he said.

Pacquiao to face Clottey?

Top Rank, meanwhile, is reportedly proposing a face off between Pacquiao and former Miguel Cotto foe, Joshua Clottey.

A report by BadLeftHook.com said a Pacquiao-Clottey match could turn out to be a “tough stylistic matchup”.

Clottey nearly beat Cotto for the WBO welterweight title, but lost by a decision.

Koncz said he doesn’t wish to emphasize that it's Clottey right now because no decisions have been made.

He, however, admitted to InsideSports.com that Clottey is “a good enough fighter and Manny and I both think he beat Cotto and I think he is marketable.”

“But we have to work on the financial terms,” he said.

Also being considered as Pacquiao's next opponents are his former foe Juan Manuel Marquez and Paulie Malignaggi.
