'Healthy Bradley can repeat over Pacquiao'

MANILA – American boxer Timothy Bradley can pull off another victory against fighting congressman Manny Pacquiao in a rematch. This time, according to a boxing analyst, it might turn out to be a convincing win.

ESPN boxing analyst Dan Rafael said Bradley’s health will play a big factor if a rematch pushes through.

“Absolutely he can [beat Pacquiao]. Manny is not what he was and I think Bradley would do better in a rematch if they make the fight,” said Rafael in the ESPN Sports Nation chat.

Bradley won a controversial split decision over Pacquiao last year even if he was hobbled by injuries.

Rafael thinks it’s unlikely for the undefeated American to suffer the same injury in the rematch.

“He had two injured feet the first time around and I doubt that happens again,” he said.

But Floyd Mayweather Sr. believes Pacquiao can pull it off, given the Filipino boxer’s recent performance against Brandon Rios.

In an interview with Hustle Boss, Mayweather said the eight-division former world champion looked good against Rios.

“Pacquiao looked real good to me against Rios,” he said. “He looked good. I’m not saying he was a Mayweather, but he looked good.”

He said Pacquiao might give Bradley a different fight if a rematch takes place.

“Pacquiao might pull that off,” Mayweather said. “I’m just saying, from the first fight, it depends on what you thought about it, but I just see a different fight.”
