Pacquiao urged to attend Ali's birthday
Arum says Pacquiao may get to sing for Ali
MANILA, Philippines – Boxing promoter Bob Arum is encouraging boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao to attend Muhammad Ali’s 70th birthday celebration in Las Vegas next week.
Arum said in a Boxing Scene report by Ronnie Nathanielsz that several boxing personalities like George Foreman, Ken Norton, Leon Spinks and “Sugar” Ray Leonard have already committed to join the celebration.
“Hopefully I’ll be talking to Manny and he can join the festivities,” said Arum.
He added that Pacquiao may even get to sing for “The Greatest.”
“I’ll even allow him to sing a song in honor of Muhammad Ali. So it should be a great, great night,” said Arum.
Pacquiao is known for his penchant for singing. He even held concerts and recorded albums because of his love for music.
The Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health is hosting the dinner for Ali, who is suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
