MANILA, Philippines -- Without injured All-Star point guard Chris Paul, the visiting Los Angeles Clippers were completely dominated by the Utah Jazz, getting blown out 108-79 at the EnergySolutions Arena.
Without Paul to set up the offense, the Clippers shot only 36.5% from the field. Blake Griffin had 10 points and 11 rebounds, but was five-of-12 from the field and did not attempt a single free throw. Caron Butler was the leading scorer for the Clips with 14 points.
The Jazz big men were once again dominant, with Paul Millsap scoring a game-high 20 points on only 11 shots. Al Jefferson had a double-double of 10 points and 13 boards, and CJ Miles came off the bench to score 19 markers.
It was the Jazz' 16th straight home victory against the Clippers and their eighth win in their last nine games.
The Clips made a small rally in the third period, cutting the deficit into single digits after a dunk by Griffin, but Millsap and Jefferson answered with buckets of their own to pad the lead back to 12 points.
The Jazz starters sat out most of the fourth quarter, but rookies Alec Burks and Enes Kanter stepped up to score 11 and 10 points, respectively, to maintain Utah's big lead.
Rose-less Bulls rout Phoenix
The Chicago Bulls were also playing without their star point guard Derrick Rose but got a different result, as they routed the Phoenix Suns, 118-97, at home.
Carlos Boozer had a season-high 31 points to lead the Bulls even as Rose sat out his second straight game due to a sprained left big toe. CJ Watson took Rose's place in the starting line up and scored 23 points, also his season-high.
The Bulls led by as many as 28 points and were up a 67-47 halftime lead.
Steve Nash led the Suns with 25 points and nine assists, but got little help as only two other Phoenix players scored in double figures. Marcin Gortat had 14 points and Robin Lopez added 16 off the bench.
Meanwhile, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 105-95, while the Houston Rockets beat the Detroit Pistons, 97-80.
