‘Mosley-Mayweather second best to Pacquiao-Floyd’
MANILA, Philippines -- For veteran boxing writer Dan Rafael, the reported match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight champion Shane Mosley is only second best to a fight fan’s dream match between 7-time world champion Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Jr.
“As much as I like Mosley-Mayweather… It's still second best. Pacquiao-Mayweather was, and still is, the biggest fight out there,” said Rafael, ESPN.com’s boxing writer, in his blog.
Rafael said that for him, the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight remains the biggest draw.
Talks between the camps of two of the most recognizable figures in boxing had collapsed over drug-testing procedures.
“If you ask me, there are three superfights in boxing. One is Pacquiao-Mayweather, which is by far the biggest. The other two are Mosley-Mayweather and Pacquiao-Mosley,” said Rafael.
Shortly after Pacquiao decided to face Clottey, reports came out that Golden Boy Promotions was working out a match between Mayweather and Mosley.
“Let's just hope the sides can make it happen (probably for early May) and not get bogged down in the ego and stupidity that killed Mayweather's fight with Manny Pacquiao, which was supposed to be on March 13,” he said.
Pacquiao, Clottey head to NY
Pacquiao and Clottey, meanwhile, kicked off the promotion of their fight dubbed “The Event” at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas.
The 7-time world champion will defend his World Boxing Organization (WBO) title against the Ghanaian, a former International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight champion.
“Clottey, he's a good fighter and a top fighter and he's bigger than me so I have to prepare hard for this fight,” said Pacquiao.
Clottey, for his part, said he is aware that he will be facing a very tough opponent in the “People’s Champ.”
“This is going to be a hell of a fight… I love Manny Pacquiao. If you throw (punches) at him, he will throw back at you. I know what I'm going to face,” Clottey said in an AFP report.
The “The Event” headliners will proceed to New York for another press conference at Madison Square Garden.
Pacquiao will then start his training camp at Wildcard Gym in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California after his promotional commitments.

Even if this is not the most awaited fight because everybody wants pacquiao vs mayweather but we can't, so probably this fight although this is not that good as pacquiao mayweather we can still give credits to this it's also worth watching coz shane mosley is a tough fighter also he is top 3 ring magazine so why not give credit to this fight.
