MANILA, Philippines -- Michael Koncz is not taking unbeaten American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. off the list of potential opponents for Filipino boxing icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.

Koncz, Pacquiao's business adviser, told RingTV.com that he is in Las Vegas where he plans to discuss the issue of the Filipino boxer's next bout with Top Rank boss Bob Arum.

"I am in Las Vegas right now having various discussions and meetings with different people, and we have not closed the door on Floyd Mayweather," he said.

The negotiations for a Pacquiao-Mayweather bout – said to be the most lucrative bout in boxing – fell apart anew last week after Mayweather refused to agree to a 50-50 split.

Rumors then circulated that Puerto Rican boxer Miguel Cotto has agreed to the terms of a rematch with Pacquiao, although Cotto denied this.

Koncz stressed that discussions are still ongoing with "different people."

"I'm here in Las Vegas pursuant to Manny's instructions, trying to finalize his next bout. No doors have been shut on any of our options to this point," he said.

Aside from Mayweather and Cotto, Lamont Peterson, Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez were also part of a short-list of potential Pacquiao opponents.
