MANILA, Philippines – The Far Eastern University (FEU) Lady Tamaraws dealt the slumping Ateneo Lady Eagles their third straight loss in their second-round meeting in the UAAP Season 75 women's volleyball tournament Wednesday at the San Juan Arena.

Four players scored in double figures for the Lady Tams as they easily handled the Lady Eagles in straight sets, 25-20, 25-17 and 25-16.

Rosemarie Vargas and Marjorie Roxas each scored 11 points, while Marie Toni Basas and Wenneth Eulalio added 10 each.

Meanwhile, only Alyssa Valdez finished in double figures for the Lady Eagles with 15 points.

Ateneo continues to play without injured spiker Fille Cainglet, and veterans Dzi Gervacio and Gretchen Ho provided little help as the two only had five points combined.

The Lady Eagles have now lost their last three contests after winning their first six matches of the season.

The Lady Tamaraws, meanwhile, are headed the opposite direction as they won their fourth straight match and tied National University (NU) in the league standings with a 5-4 record.

It was also sweet revenge for the Lady Tams, who lost to the Lady Eagles in five sets in their first meeting this season.

Ateneo now has a 6-3 record.

In the first game of the double-header, the NU Lady Bulldogs defeated the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons in straight sets, 25-19, 25-18 and 25-18.

Skipper Aleona Santiago led the way for NU with 16 points, while Myla Pablo added 12 markers.
