MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao's archrival, Juan Manuel Marquez, has tapped the Filipino boxer to win against Timothy Bradley in the reboot of their WBO welterweight title bout.

Marquez, who knocked Pacquiao out in December 2012, said the rematch will be a crucial fight for his Filipino rival.

"I want to say that it is an important, interesting fight, because of what happened in the first,” Marquez said in Boxing Scene, referring to Bradley’s controversial split decision win over Pacquiao.

“In that fight the decision was different from what happened in the ring,” he added.

The Mexican has experienced fighting Bradley himself, losing by split decision in the process.

Marquez said the American will have to change tactics if he wants to succeed against the fleet-footed Pinoy.

“I think Bradley should change his strategy because it did not work [from the first fight],” he said.

Marquez said if the ringside judges will do their job and Pacquiao remains his same old fighting self, he sees the Filipino coming out as the victor.

But if Bradley makes crucial changes in his fighting style, then he could give the fighting congressman a competitive fight.

“If judges do what needs to be done, Pacquiao should win. If Bradley makes the adjustments, it's going to be a very good fight," Marquez said.
