MANILA, Philippines – Top Rank Inc.’s Bob Arum said that if they hear from Floyd Mayweather Jr. himself, he’d immediately start the formal negotiations to make the super fight.

Arum said they would need directions from Mayweather so they would know who to talk to.

That way, he said, he can work out the Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather super fight.

"All Floyd has to do, as far as I'm concerned, is to phone us or to send a text to [Top Rank President] Todd [duBoef]… All Floyd has to do is to give us some direction. Let Mayweather tell us who he wants us to speak to make this fight,” Arum said in Boxing Scene.

"If Mayweather says, hey, this is my guy, this is who I want you to talk to, then we'll do that. I will pick up the phone or Todd will answer his text message,” he added.

Arum said Top Rank has yet to receive word from Mayweather's representatives Al Haymon and Leonard Ellerbe.

Haymon serves as Mayweather’s chief adviser, while Ellerbe is the president of Mayweather Promotions.

Arum made no mention of Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, which has been handling Mayweather’s fights.

The Top Rank CEO said November will be a perfect time to hold the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight.

"If we get this information, this direction from Floyd, then we can finalize things for November and we also enhance their respective interim fights, Floyd's May 5 bout and Manny's June 9 fight. The stakes get a lot higher for those interim fights,” said Arum.

“I want the fight and, more importantly, Manny wants it."
