Viloria to defend titles vs Mexican pug in Macau
MANILA, Philippines – World flyweight champion Brian “The Hawaiian Punch” Viloria will defend his WBA and WBO titles against hard-hitting Mexican challenger Juan Francisco Estrada on April 6.
Viloria’s title defense will headline the April fight card in Macau.
"We're hoping soon to announce this great card that we're doing in Macau," said Top Rank CEO Bob Arum in Lem Satterfield’s RingTV report.
"Viloria and Estrada will meet for the 112-pound title.”
The Hawaiian Punch successfully unified the WBA and WBO titles when he battered Hernan “Tyson” Marquez to a 10th round stoppage last November.
Estrada, on the other hand, will be coming off a unanimous decision loss to junior flyweight champion Roman Gonzalez in the co-feature to the Viloria-Marquez bout.
Arum said the April card will also feature the professional debut of Chinese junior flyweight Zou Shiming, a two-time Olympic gold medalist.
The boxing promoter added that they are now finalizing the lineup for the Macau card.
"We'll have another title fight," said Arum. "As well as some other interesting international fights."
