Filipino cue artist Dennis “Robocop” Orcollo won this year’s Master of the Table crown in the 16th Annual Derby City Classic at the Horseshoe Southern Indiana in the US.
It was the first-ever Master of the Table title for Orcollo, who also pocketed $20,000 along with the crown.
Orcollo defeated countryman and defending champion Francisco “Django” Bustamante in the finals of the 9-Ball Bank Pool, 3-1, to dominate that event.
He then settled for a share of fourth place along with Bustamante in the One Pocket event, which was topped by Hall-of-Famer Efren “Bata” Reyes.
Reyes earned $12,000 for his win, while Orcollo and Bustamante each gained $2,200.
Orcollo was the lone Filipino semi-finalists in the 9-Ball event, which was dominated by American Shane Van Boening.
Boening ousted Orcollo in the semis before beating Canadian John Morra for the title.
