MANILA, Philippines – Rain or Shine import Bruno Sundov is the tallest among 10 imports playing in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, which opens this Friday.
The NBA veteran was officially measured at 7 feet and 2.75 inches during the import orientation for the second conference, according to PBA’s official website.
He is also the oldest reinforcement at 32 years old.
Talk ‘N Text’s Keith Benson is the second tallest import 6-foot-11, while San Mig Coffee’s Matt Rogers is third at at 6-foot-9.25.
The PBA Commissioner’s Cup features imports with no height limits.
“Filipino basketball fans are always excited whenever a conference with imports of unlimited height comes up,” said PBA Commissioner Chito Salud.
“From what I’ve been hearing, we’ve got a good batch of imports in town. I’m sure they will provide our fans with a heavy dose of hard basketball action that everyone loves. We are in for a lot of exciting games ahead,” he said.
Air21’s Michael Dunigan was measured at 6-foot-8 13/16. He is also the youngest at 23.
Barangay Ginebra’s Herbert Hill and Alaska’s Robert Dozier were both measured at 6-foot-8.75, Barako Bull’s Evan Brock 6-foot-8.5, GlobalPort’s Justin Williams 6-foot-8 and Meralco’s Eric Dawson 6-foot-7 13/16.
Petron’s Renaldo Balkman is the shortest at 6-foot-6.
