Nash serves up 21 assists in Suns victory

DETROIT - Steve Nash handed out a season-high 21 assists on Sunday and was one of six Phoenix players to score in double figures as the Suns downed Detroit 107-97 in a National Basketball Association contest.

Nash, who scored 15 points, finished one assist shy of his career high.

The two-time NBA Most Valuable Player had 22 in a triple-overtime loss to the New York Knicks on January 2, 2006.

Jason Richardson scored 21 points and All-Star Shaquille O'Neal collected 20 with 10 rebounds for the Suns, who have won three of their last four games.

All-Star Amare Stoudemire chipped in 18 points, reserve Leandro Barbosa added 17 and Grant Hill netted 10 for for the Suns, who shot 49 percent from the field.
