MANILA, Philippines – Houston has been selected as the site of the NBA All-Star Weekend 2013, league commissioner David Stern announced.

The game is set for February 17, 2013, with the full weekend of activities beginning February 15.

"All-Star Weekend 2013 is a place where the entire NBA family will gather, where the world, including 200 countries where it will be televised, can see the best," Stern said.

The Rockets were the host team for the 2006 NBA All-Star Game at Toyota Center, and the NBA All-Star Game was contested at the Houston Astrodome in 1989.

Some of the event’s most popular attractions are the NBA All-Sta Jam Session, the NBA All-Star Practice and the NBA All-Star Celebrity game.

The NBA will also continue to celebrate its tradition and commitment to social responsibility with a schedule of NBA Cares events.

Meanwhile, the 2012 NBA All-Star game is on February 26 in Orlando, Florida. – Report from ANC.
