MANILA, Philippines – Jeremy Lin continued to dazzle, scoring 23 points and tallying a career-high 10 assists to power the New York Knicks past the Washington Wizards, 107-93.

Tyson Chandler contributed 25 points and 11 rebounds and the Knicks won their third straight game despite playing without All-Stars Carmelo Anthony (groin injury) and Amar'e Stoudemire (personal reasons).

Lin provided the highlight of the night in the third quarter when he blew by three Wizards and skied for the slam dunk – the first of his career.

"I didn't know he could dunk," Chandler told NBA.com. "When he's going in for the dunk, I'm like, 'No, Jeremy, just lay the ball up.' And all of a sudden, he dunks it and I was probably just as excited as the crowd was."

John Wall had 29 points and six assists for the Wizards, who drop to 5-21 this season. Trevor Booker added 17 points but no other Wizard reached double-figures.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Lin became the first player since LeBron James to average at least 28 points and eight assists in their first two career starts.

"Like I said after the last game, I wouldn't have imagined this," Lin said.

Lin, a graduate of Harvard University, went undrafted in 2010 but played for the Golden State Warriors.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Pistons won their third straight game after holding on to defeat the New Jersey Nets, 99-92.

Greg Monroe had 20 points and 12 rebounds for the Pistons, while Jonas Jerebko had 16 points and seven boards off the bench.

"We have to continue to play and give these efforts so the wins will come more often," Monroe said. The Pistons have won only seven games against 20 losses this season.

The Nets were down by as much as 18 points but Deron Williams did all he could to rally his team, scoring 27 points in the second half to finish with a game-high 34.

Williams brought the Nets to within one, 77-78, with 8:28 to go in the fourth quarter, but the Pistons quickly seized control with a 6-0 run.

"We lost, that's about it. It's another loss at home," Williams said. "We've been struggling here all season, trying to find our shots and rhythm."

The Nets are 3-9 at home and have lost four straight games.

The Atlanta Hawks ended a three-game losing streak with a 97-87 win against the Indiana Pacers at home.

Josh Smith had 28 points, 12 rebounds, five steals, three assists and three blocks, while Kirk Hinrich had 17 points to lead the Hawks.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bulls dominated the New Orleans Hornets, 90-67.

The Bulls held the Hornets to only 37% shooting from the field, and led by as much as 28 points despite Derrick Rose playing only 22 minutes.
