MANILA, Philippines – The University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Tigresses boosted their Final Four chances by exacting revenge against the National University Lady Bulldogs in the UAAP womens’ volleyball on Saturday.

The España-based spikers needed fours sets to dispose the Lady Bulldogs, 25-21, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-17, at a jampacked Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

With the win, the Tigresses avenged their 25-16, 25-23, 23-25, 25-13 loss to NU during their first round encounter.

UST now has 7 wins against 5 losses, which is good for solo fourth place.

The Tigresses will next face Far Eastern University on Wednesday before closing out the second round eliminations against Ateneo de Manila University on February 17.

"'Yung three teams na tumalo sa amin ng first round, tinarget namin talaga," said UST coach Odjie Mamon in UAAP Sports.
