MANILA, Philippines – The National University Bulldogs hope to continue their impressive season when they face off against the Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles for the UAAP men’s baseball crown.

The Bulldogs fell to the De La Salle Green Archers in the tennis finals, but still have a chance to win a championship in the best-of-three Finals series.

But the Blue Eagles are also hungry to win their first championship in UAAP baseball. Ateneo swept the first round of the eliminations to set up their first Finals appearance since joining the league.

Meanwhile, the De La Salle Lady Spikers open their defense of the women's volleyball crown on Wednesday against archrival Ateneo Lady Eagles.

The Lady Spikers are bolstered with a thrice-to-beat advantage after a 14-game sweep of the elimination round. Ateneo, meanwhile, are hoping to win the women's volleyball title for the first time since joining the UAAP.

In the men’s division, the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Tigers are still waiting for an opponent as the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws and the De La Salle Spikers dispute the other Finals berth in a knockout semi-final Wednesday at The Arena.

The University of the Philippines (UP) will also take on UST in the men’s football finals, with the Maroons needing only one win to defend their football crown.

But in the women's division, the finalists are yet to be determined, with UST, De La Salle and FEU battling for the two finals berth in crucial elimination matches this week.

De La Salle will also be defending its title in women's tennis, against either UST or UP. The Tigresses and the Lady Maroons will figure in a do-or-die battle on Saturday.
