MANILA, Philippines – Undefeated American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr. is confident that he will end Manny Pacquiao's reign atop the boxing world when they meet on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Bradley, who currently holds a title at the junior welterweight division, will move up a weight class to challenge Pacquiao for the World Boxing Organization welterweight championship.

"I'm ready for this challenge," he was quoted by Fight Hype during the pre-fight press conference at the Beverly Hills Hotel. 

"I think that June 9th is my time. Manny Pacquiao has reigned for a very long time, and I feel that I'm the new face of boxing," he added.

Bradley acknowledged that he will have a tough time, saying, "I know it’s going to be hell in the ring with Manny Pacquiao."

"I feel that it's going to be one heck of a challenge, but I'm up for it and I feel that I’m capable of winning this fight," he said.

Despite his confidence, Bradley maintained that he respects Pacquiao, whom he called "the best pound-for-pound fighter in the game."

"I don't have to say anything negative or anything bad about him. He's a great person. He’s a great model for kids," Bradley added.

"I really like Manny Pacquiao a great deal in and outside of the ring."

Bradley is undefeated through 28 career fights with 12 wins coming by knockout.
