MANILA, Philippines -- The University of Sto. Tomas (UST) Tigers and Tigresses swept their respective foes during Saturday's University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) volleyball finals at the Arena in San Juan.

The Tigers scored 25-21, 25-17, 25-21 over the Far Eastern University Tamaraws to sweep their best-of-3 title series, 2-0.

The title-win gave UST its 3rd UAAP crown in the Men's volleyball competition.

The Tigresses, meanwhile, defeated the De La Salle University Lady Archers, 25-18, 25-14, 16-25, 25-15, for their first women's volley title in 4 years.

The last time the Tigresses won the title was in 2006.
