CHICAGO - Jimmy Butler took care of LeBron James on defense and scored 16 points on offence to lead Chicago to a 95-88 overtime win over the reigning NBA champion Miami on Sunday.

Butler also tallied 11 rebounds, four steals and a block for the Bulls, who prevented James from making a trip to the free throw line for the first time in an NBA game in over four years.

Butler also had a key block on James in the last second of the fourth quarter.

Joakim Noah had 20 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks for the Bulls, who have split the first two games of a six-game homestand. D.J. Augustin scored 22 points.

James scored 17 points on eight-of-23 shooting from the field. James did not attempt a free throw in a game for the first time since December 2009.

Dwyane Wade finished with 25 points and Chris Bosh had 15 points for the Heat, who have lost three straight.

With just over 10 minutes left in the fourth, James had a slam dunk to extend Miami's lead to 74-62.

But the Bulls scored the next 13 points to go in front. Butler capped the surge with a pair of free throws to make it 75-74.

James tied the game with a layup with 70 seconds left in the fourth but Kirk Hinrigh answered with a layup of his own to send the game into overtime.

The Bulls seized command in the overtime, scoring the first nine points.
