The Women’s World 10-Ball championship to take place in Manila has finally received official sanction from the World Pool-Billiards Association after organizers agreed to move its play date to June, according to AZBilliards.com.

Dragon Promotions moved the Women’s World 10-Ball tournament schedule to June 1 to 6 from its original play date on May 25 to 30.

The original schedule clashed with the Philippine Open, which is promoted by the Billiards and Snooker Congress of the Philippines (BSCP).

This is the reason why the WPA earlier refused to sanction the women’s 10-Ball.

“We are aware that the dates of this event will clash with an event we have already sanctioned, the Philippine Open… It is unfortunate that Dragon Promotions chose dates that were already reserved and announced,” the WPA earlier said in a statement.

Now that the Women’s 10-Ball schedule has been moved, the WPA has agreed to give its sanctioning.

Dragon promotions earlier said that the Women’s 10-Ball will host 48 women from around the globe who will compete for the $20,000 top prize.
