MANILA, Philippines – Filipino-American boxer Ana “Hurricane” Julaton lost her WBO women’s super bantamweight crown after bowing to Argentine challenger Yesica Marcos at the latter’s hometown.
According to Examiner, Judges ruled in favor of Marcos, 98-91, 96-92 and 98-92, after the 10-round title clash.
The fight took place on Friday (Saturday, Manila time) at the Teatro Griego Juan Pablo Segundo in San Martin, Mendoza, Argentina.
It was Julaton’s first loss in her last fight bouts.
She now has a record of 10-3-1, while Marcos improved to 18-0.
