St-Pierre hits like a girl – Diaz
MANILA, Philippines – Nick Diaz claims he wasn’t hurt by Georges St-Pierre despite being dealt with a unanimous decision loss in their title clash in UFC 158 over the weekend.
Diaz even claimed that the UFC welterweight champion "hits like a girl" and that he can beat St-Pierre if he’ll be granted a rematch.
"I'm not hurt," said the Stockton native in MMA Fighting. "He hits like a woman. He has his full-on range to separate and punch me, but he hits like a girl because he's too scared to let go to get a real punch in."
St-Pierre dominated Diaz by taking the fight to the mat and establishing ground control for most part of the bout.
Diaz, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belter, had several attempts on knee and arm bar submission but St-Pierre was quick to defend and rained fist and elbows on his challenger.
Diaz announced his retirement following his defeat, but he took it back during the post-fight press conference and instead asked for a rematch.
"You can say, I don't want to retire if I get a rematch, but, if I don't get a rematch, who am I going to fight?" Diaz said.
Meanwhile, St-Pierre shrugged off Diaz’s latest salvo.
"I don't know what to say, I'm kind of disappointed hearing this," St-Pierre said. "I'm going to take the high road and say it was a good fight."
